(1) INSTALLATION includes removal of packaging materials, any assembly that may be required,
positioning the products at point of use, opportunity for the end user to inspect the installed
goods in the presence of the installer.
(2) INSTALLATION WILL BE DONE ON ANY FLOOR PROVIDING SUITABLE ACCESS IS AVAILABLE
(for Health and Safety reasons).
(3) The installation area must be completely clear in order to allow the installation
team to assemble and install the furniture without hinderance.
(4) Installation cannot be undertaken unless the customer or a representative of the customer is present
at the installation premises.
(5) Non-Installation/Installation Declined. If the installation team arrive at the installation premises
on a date pre-advised to the customer or a representative/employee of the customer and the installation team
are unable to install due to reasons under the control of the customer (for example if the customer declines
access for any reason, or if installation area has not been cleared, or if the installation area is in use)
the uninstalled goods will be left at the customers premises uninstalled.
(a) In this case the customer is liable to check the goods itemised on the delivery note are delivered in full as
itemised on the delivery note and in good condition. The installation team have time allocated for installation
and hence will wait whilst the customer or customers representative thoughroughly check the goods over.
A customer signing and noting "Not Checked" or similar will simply indicate that the customer has waived
their opportunity to check the goods over.
(b) NOTE: Since the customer will have effectively waived the opportunity to inspect the finished/assembled
goods in the presence of the installer, Deskshop cannot accept liability for any damages or missing products discovered
after goods have been delivered and signed-for but uninstalled.
(c) Responsilbilty for installing the goods will be passed to the customer. It may be possible at extra cost
to arrange with Deskshop for an installation team to return to the customers premises to complete the
installation at a later date. The additional charge for this service, if offered/agreed by Deskshop, will be a
minimum of 20% of order value subject to a minimum charge of £50 plus VAT.
(6) Delivery Declined. If in the event of Non-Installation/Declined Installation as outlined in (5) above
on a date where Installation has been pre-advised to the customer or customers employee/representative AND
the customer declines to receive the goods ordered there will be an administation charge equivalent
to a minimum of 25% of the order value subject to a minimum charge of £75 plus VAT. This amount may be
deducted from funds already paid for the goods by the customer.
(7) Incomplete Installation. Deskshop can never totally guarantee that furniture installation will be completed
on a date pre-advised by our installers.
(8) Consequential Loss. Deskshop cannot be held liable for any consequential loss in the event that any installation
is not completed on a pre-advised date or within norml lead time.
